Who Does BAM Serve?

    Brazos County Juvenile Justice Center

    This center provides trauma-informed care, education through Bryan ISD, and comprehensive counseling services to help youth develop the skills needed for a successful future. Members of BAM visit the youth here two to three times a week to foster growth. By engaging in games, conversation, and basketball, our members build lasting, impactful connections with every student.

    Big Brothers Big Sisters of The Brazos Valley

    Big Brothers Big Sisters connects local children with dedicated adult volunteers to provide guidance and support. Members of BAM are paired with a “Little Brother” whom they mentor consistently for at least one full year. This long-term commitment allows our members to form deep bonds and provide life-changing mentorship to their Littles.

    Boys and Girls Club Brazos Valley

    The Boys & Girls Club provides a vital after-school environment for elementary-aged children throughout the Bryan area to learn and play. Members of BAM visit the club regularly to provide mentorship through academic tutoring and recreational games. By assisting kids after the school day ends, our members help create a safe, productive, and encouraging space for growth.

    FYR Aggieland

    Forging Youth Resilience is a national nonprofit seeking to empower young people by building the physical and mental strength necessary to navigate life's challenges. Members of BAM provide transportation for students to the FYR facility and participate in the high-intensity workouts alongside them. These shared physical challenges help our members and students form incredibly strong, resilient bonds.

    Bryan High School

    Bryan High School, home of the Vikings, is a diverse 6A public school offering elite academics and leadership opportunities to nearly 2,500 students in Texas. Members of BAM visit the campus during the hectic lunch periods to meet students where they are. Through consistent fellowship and conversation, our members build relatable, supportive relationships with the high school student body.

    Southwood Valley

    Southwood Valley Elementary, home of the Eagles, is a College Station campus dedicated to fostering a supportive and diverse learning community for all students. Members of BAM visit the campus during lunch hours to be paired with students ranging from kindergarten through fourth grade. These early-childhood interactions allow our members to provide positive role modeling and mentorship.
